What You'll Actually Need
Most people worry they need expensive equipment or a powerful computer. Truth is, you don't. Our September 2025 program works with what you probably already have.

Keep It Simple
We've been running these courses since 2021, and here's what we've learned: the tech doesn't matter nearly as much as people think. A laptop from 2018? That'll work fine. A reliable internet connection matters more than processor speed.
Last year, one of our top performers was using a seven-year-old MacBook Air. Another student completed everything on a Chromebook. The tools you use for everyday browsing and email work perfectly for learning net worth calculation methods.
We built our platform to run smoothly on modest hardware because not everyone has access to the latest devices. And honestly, that shouldn't stop you from learning something valuable.
Actual Requirements
Here's the straight answer about what your setup needs. No technical jargon, no inflated recommendations trying to sell you upgrades.
Any Modern Computer
Windows, Mac, or Chrome OS from the past six years. 4GB RAM is fine. We've tested everything on older machines to make sure it runs smoothly.
Internet Connection
Standard broadband works. You'll stream some video lessons, but we've compressed them intelligently. Even modest speeds handle everything without constant buffering.
Updated Browser
Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Just keep it updated. Our platform adapts to different browsers automatically, so you're not locked into one choice.
Spreadsheet Software
Excel, Google Sheets, or LibreOffice Calc. The free options work exactly the same for what we're teaching. No premium subscriptions needed.
PDF Reader
Most computers have this built in already. Our course materials come as straightforward PDFs you can download and reference offline whenever convenient.
Email Access
For updates and resource sharing. That's it. We're not bombarding you with notifications. Just essential course communications when they actually matter.
When Things Don't Work
Sometimes technology acts up. Browser extensions conflict with our platform. College wifi blocks certain features. Your antivirus gets overprotective. These things happen.
We've got someone who handles exactly these situations. Not an automated chatbot reading from scripts. An actual person who knows our systems and can troubleshoot specific problems.
Response time averages under four hours during UK business days. Most issues get resolved in one or two messages. And if your setup genuinely can't handle something, we'll find a workaround that fits your situation.
